The transcript of a Tennessee resident who is home schooled must be an official copy from an affiliated organization as defined by state law (Tenn. Code Ann. 49-50-801), or be accompanied by certification of registration with the local education agency which the student would otherwise attend.
The score report from the American College Testing Program (ACT) must be submitted by all entering freshmen who are under 21 years of age. If ACT scores are not available, Scholastic Aptitude Test Scores (SAT) of the College Entrance Examination Board may be substituted.
The university schedules ACT assessment periodically throughout the
year. Applicants for admission and students enrolled at ETSU are eligible
to participate in the ACT testing program.

of overall academic standing in regard to retention. Transfer applicants
graduating from high school in the spring of 1989 and thereafter, who earn
an associate degree designed for transfer or complete 60 or more transferrable
semester hours are not subject to the unit requirements from high school.
An additional application for admission form is required by the following
selective programs: Dental Hygiene, Baccalaureate Degree
Nursing, and the Health Related Professions offered through the Marshall
T. Nave Center. Students should first apply for undergraduate admission
and then apply for admission to these programs.
Applications for admission are retained for a period of one year
for those who apply and do not enter. Requests to have applications updated
to be effective for semesters other than the initial semester must be made
to the Office of Admissions. After having once enrolled, students missing
terms may be required to file an update form or an application for readmission
depending on the time spent away from ETSU.
Although there is no deadline date for receipt of the undergraduate
application for admission, those applying for financial aid and/or university
housing should apply early during the year to ensure consideration. Applications
for Dental Hygiene and the Health Related Professions should be submitted
early in the year in order to be considered. Additional information concerning
